What others have mentioned is true. This isn't true leather, it's fake and it does peel off after heavy usage. But, there is one huge redeeming factor with this case that other cases don't have. It's compatible with Intuit GoPayment credit card reader. I don't need to take the iPhone out of the case unlike many other cases. And it easily docks with many 3rd party devices out there. I was looking for a leather case for my iphone 4 since I have always had leather cases for any and all mobile phones. I came to find out that the iphone 4 design does not lend itself to a quality leather case design. The back of this case is simulated leather while the rest of it is plastic.
